New York State has more than one requirement for mandatory education for certain groups of licensed health professionals. (1) INFECTION CONTROL TRAINING -- Infection control training is required for nearly all licensed health professionals every four years as a condition of licensure. (2) OPIOID PRESCRIBING -- 3 CE credit hours of specialized training for those possessing a DEA registration for prescribling opioids and other controlled substances required every 3 years. |
